YY Lashes are a style of eyelash extensions designed to create a wispy, textured & voluminous lash look similar to Hybrid eyelash extensions & soft, light volume lashes. 

These lashes are quick & simple to apply & offer superb longevity. 

YY Lashes are where two or more lashes branch out from a single base, creating a fluffier, lightweight & fuller lash look. 

What are YY lashes?

YY Lashes – 0.07 – Classic YY Lashes are applied like a pre-made volume fan lash.

Each fan is composed of four single-lash strands, placed on top of each other to form a Y shape.

Creating a lightweight, volume-textured, wispy lash style.

Unlike the Straight Tip YY lashes, these Classic YY lashes are not so curled & the tips are wider apart and more fanned out.

These YY lashes are better suited for clients who want a lash look with less lift and drama & a more subtle volume and texture.

Classic YY lashes are not as curled as our Straight Tip YYs, so they are much easier to pick up and place onto an isolated natural lash.

These lashes offer superb lash retention because of their lovely, long, flat stem base, allowing a better bonding area to the natural lashes, creating greater lash longevity.

YY lashes are applied in the same way as a classic lash, onto an isolated natural lash & not using too much lash adhesive/lash glue.

We recommend using the dipping method.

Styling

YY lashes come in two different styles – Classic YY lash & straight Tip YY lash.

YY Lashes are available in C & D curls, 7 – 15mm lengths. 

Please ensure you are choosing the correct YY lash by reading the info on both of our YY lash extensions.

Our Classic YY lash is a more textured volume lash where the lash tips are slightly wider & softer. 

The Straight Tip YY offers a deeper curl, creating more lift & is slightly narrower than the Classic YY. 

YY Lashes are glamorous, soft, fluffy, & fabulous!  Loved by many clients & lash techs.

Our lash suppliers have created a unique style – doubling YY lashes, placing one YY lash on top of the other, creating a fan-type effect of 4 x lashes, similar to our Pre-made Volume Fan lashes.

Easy application

YY lashes are applied onto individual, isolated natural lashes super-quick!

Just like classic lashes, apart from the lash adhesive application technique, we would recommend using the lash adhesive ‘dipping method’ rather than the ‘coating & bonding’ method (as this could close up the YY lash fan & cause clumpy, sticky lash bases).

Application Tips – Lash Pickup 

Always grab the base of the lash where the YY splits into shape to keep the fan intact, grabbing too far up the YY lash will damage & split the lash. 

Using the correct lash tweezers is super important; we recommend using a deep-curved or deep-angled V precision tweezer.

Using the lash ‘dipping method’, carefully dip the base of the YY lash into your chosen lash adhesive & gently place onto a single isolated natural lash. 

We would recommend only using fast-set lash adhesives like Fastlash or Extreme lash. 

We would NOT recommend using a slower drying lash adhesive like Masterlash, as this lash technique needs a super-fast bonding lash adhesive to hold the YY lash in place.

Lash Retention

YY lashes have a flat base, which provides a larger lash bonding area, leading to greater lash retention. 

 

Volume & Texture

YY lashes have a super-soft, wispy, volumed & textured appearance. 

 

Suitabilty 

YY lashes are perfect for lash clients looking for fullness, texture & volume even though their natural lashes are fine & sparse.

YY lashes bridge the gap between volume & classic lashes, they are very similar to pre-made volume fans without too much weight.
