Why are regular lash infills required?

Natural lash shedding: We naturally shed between 2 & 5 natural eyelashes every day.

This means in 2 to 3 weeks, a client will lose roughly 30 to 70 eyelash extensions as their natural lashes fall out to make room for new lash growth.

Overgrown eyelash extensions:

As natural lashes grow longer, the extension attached to them moves further away from the eyelid.

This shifts the lash weight balance, causing the eyelash extension to twist, droop, or potentially strain the natural lash.

Eyelash adhesive breakdown:

The medical-grade lash adhesive used to secure eyelash extensions gradually weakens over time due to natural facial oils, skincare products, water, & change in the environment.

Recommended reasons to pre-book before leaving your lash appointment:

Clients should always secure their next lash appointment before leaving the salon/lash tech rather than waiting for a few weeks, for several reasons:

• Avoiding the “Full Set” fee: To ensure an infill price, most salons will require the client to have at least 40% to 50% of their eyelash extensions remaining. If a client delays booking & loses too many eyelash extensions, the appointment will become a full set, which takes twice as long & costs significantly more
• Technician availability: Experienced lash artists maintain highly packed schedules. Waiting until lashes look sparse to book an appointment often means your preferred stylist will be completely full, forcing you to go elsewhere or miss your maintenance window.
• Strict time constraints: Lash artists require predictable slots to clean, prep, remove outgrown lashes, & fill new ones. Pre-booking ensures the lash artist allocates the exact 60 to 90 minutes required for a thorough infill appointment
• Consistent lash health: Regular 2-to-3-week appointments allow the lash technician to constantly monitor natural lash health. They can safely peel off (banana method) outgrown eyelash extensions before they cause damage or stress to the natural lashes
