Is Extreme Lash Adhesive only suitable for experienced Lash Techs?

Yes, Extreme Lash is recommended only for intermediate/experienced lash techs due to its fast set speed. (0.5 – 1 second)

Please note: The higher the humidity in your working environment, the quicker the glue will bond.

Incorrect & slow lash placement will cause lash retention issues due to Extreme Lash’s set speed.

 

Do I need to use a Lash Primer & Bonder with Extreme Lash?

We recommend using a Lash Primer & Lash Bonder to maximise the longevity of your clients’ eyelash extensions.

Lash Primer restores the PH balance of the natural lashes by stripping any oily residue, leaving a clean surface for better lash bonding.

Lash Bonder accelerates Extreme Lash adhesive, curing & locking in flexibility-enhancing lash retention. This product can also help neutralise residual lash glue fumes.

 

What humidity & temperature are best for Extreme Lash?

For optimal results, Extreme Lash works best at a temperature between 20-22°C & Humidity 40-45%

We highly recommend purchasing a Hygrometer to monitor your working environment.

 

What is the shelf life of Extreme Lash?

Extreme lash has a shelf life of 6 x months unopened.

Once the glue has been opened, we recommend it be used within approximately 8 – 12 weeks, if stored upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

This can vary due to extreme heatwave temperatures & if stored incorrectly.

We recommend using a Sharpie permanent marker to write the date your Fastlash was opened on the glue bottle to keep track of when you will need to re-order.

 

Why is my Extreme Lash clear & not black?

Extreme Lash will need to be shaken vigorously to mix the glue ingredients.

The black pigment can sometimes separate in storage/transit.

Once Extreme Lash has been shaken, this will solve this issue.

 

Is Extreme Lash for professional use only?

Yes, Extreme Lash is only suitable to be used by qualified, professional lash techs & beauty therapists who are experienced & confident working with a fast-set speed glue.

 

How should I store my Extreme Lash?

Store your Extreme Lash in an upright position, in a cool, dry place.

Always clean your Extreme Lash nozzle after use.

Always make sure the Extreme Lash lid is secure before shaking.

 

Why has my Extreme Lash become thick or stringy?

Here are a few factors why your Extreme Lash may have become thick or stringy:

Your Extreme Lash has not been stored correctly.

Your lid has not been replaced securely.

Your glue could have expired (please check the opening date)

 

Always wipe your glue nozzle with a clean, lint-free wipe.

NEVER use fibrous materials like cotton wool pads, tissues, etc., to clean your Extreme Lash nozzle, as these materials can cause a chemical reaction with Cyanoacrylate/based lash adhesives, which can cause a flammability risk.

Gently squeeze any excess residue out of the glue nozzle to prevent any blockages.

DO NOT use wet wipes, as this can cause moisture to get inside the glue bottle.

 

Why has my Extreme Lash been leaving a white residue?

Shock polymerisation is the reason why this can happen, which is caused by too much exposure to moisture.

This can be caused by clients having watery eyes during lash application.

 

Why are my volume fans closing up during the application?

Volume fans have a different lash application technique; rather than coating & bonding the eyelash extensions as you would for a Classic lash application, instead we would recommend using a ‘dipping method’.

We would dip the base of the volume fan into the Extreme Lash, making sure you have not overloaded the base, causing the Extreme Lash to seep up the eyelash extension, closing the volume fan.

 

Is Extreme Lash suitable for sensitive clients?

No, Extreme Lash contains the active ingredient Ethyl/Cyanoacrylate, which is the backbone of any professional fast-setting lash adhesives, which can cause allergic reactions & sensitivity.

Patch testing is recommended a minimum of 24/48 hours pre-lash application. This is an insurance requirement!

 

How to professionally remove Extreme Lash & eyelash extensions safely?

We recommend using a professional eyelash adhesive remover, such as Lash Off Gel Remover.

This product is designed to work with Extreme Lash to breakdown & dissolve the lash adhesive bonds.

This allows you to remove any lash adhesive & eyelash extensions without causing any damage to the client’s natural lashes.

This Lash Off Gel Remover can also be used for contra-actions during your lash application (e.g. spillages in other areas).

 

Is Extreme Lash vegan-friendly?

Yes, Extreme Lash is vegan-friendly, latex-free & NOT tested on animals.

• Please ensure you patch test your clients 48 hours in advance of a lash treatment
• For best results, we recommend gently shaking the lash adhesive before use
• We recommend using a glue dot & jade stone & replenishing your adhesive every 5-6 minutes to keep fresh

Troubleshooting – Hints & Tips…

To get the best out of your eyelash extension adhesive/lash glue:

• We recommend making a note of the date you opened your glue, so you know when to re-order
• Apply a sticker with the date the glue was opened & stick it on the glue bottle
• Use a Jade Stone & Glue Dots rather than a Glue Ring
• Replenish your lash adhesive approximately every 5-10 minutes, depending on the humidity & temperature of your workspace
• Replenishing your glue frequently will ensure better workability & less waste
• Shake eyelash adhesive/glue well before use; sometimes the pigment can separate in transit
• Make sure your lashes are all prepped & cleaned using our Brow & Lash Wash before the eyelash extension application
• Ensure you have applied the correct lash curl, weight & length
• Apply the eyelash extensions 0.5 to 1mm away from the lash line
• Finally, do NOT apply eyelash extensions any longer than a 3rd to 1/2 longer than the natural lashes
